Horses are athletes. They can have muscle knots, strains etc. just like us humans but they have a very limited ability to stretch themselves or ease their pain. How do I know if my horse needs massage?

All horses can benefit from regular maintenance bodywork. Massage is a powerful tool for unlocking your horse's full potential, rehabilitation and to increase longevity.

Typical Signs Your Horse Needs Massage:

  • Stumbling

  • Difficulty coordinating legs

  • Painface or tension above the eyes

  • Gets agitated easily

  • Stiff gait

  • Favouring a side or difficulty bending in one direction

  • Asymmetry

  • Sensitivity in some areas of the body

  • Tail held to one side, tucked under or lifted higher than usual​

All our options include full bodywork from nose to tail, are tailored for your horse's needs and come with personalised exercises for your horse included.

What can you expect?

Initial Intake

All new clients start with an initial intake, including a consultation about your goals and concerns with your horse, a full documentation, a static and dynamic analysis with video upon request. This process takes  about 1 hour. Prior to treatment you will need to declare vet clearance and you will be informed about the benefits as well as the contraindications of massage.

Recurring Treatments

During treatment, clients are taught massage techniques fit individual to the needs of their horse. They can ask questions and advice while observing the work of the equine therapist.

You will be advised to allow your horse some time off work for 1-2 day post treatment

​

After Treatment

We generally recommend 1-2 days rest after treatment. Your horse should not be worked on the day after treatment, doing light-work with him the next day is fine. This may differ case-to-case, consult us on the day for tailored advice.

Ongoing Coaching & Support

All clients receive therapeutic exercises tailored their horse's individual needs. 

You will have the option to make a 30 mins long call within the 1-month window with no further charge.

If you feel you need further in-person sessions or remote consultations you can book these in advance at an additional cost. Time slots fill up quickly, so it is recommended that you book these in time.

Discounts available for multiple horses or referrals after payment of referred person.

​

Collaborations for veterinarians on client cases, scientific research projects, as well as presentations at events available.
